Event Description
Angela Saini is an award-winning science journalist and author of Superior: The Return of Race Science and Inferior: How Science Got Women Wrong—and the New Research That’s Rewriting the Story. In this lecture, Angela Saini will discuss the central theme of both of these works – bias – and its role in studies of women, gender, and race. Angela Saini’s writing traces the history and content of research in these fields. Her work challenges the prevailing cultural assumptions about gender and race, and confronts societal biases that have dominated this work for centuries.

This lecture is organized by the Women in STEM Leadership Council and co-sponsored by GWiSE, Grad SWE and Campus Conversations on Identity. The event will include a book signing and will take place on Tuesday November 5th at 4.30pm in Friend Center 101. It is free and open to the public.
